The Democratic National Convention showed that the Democratic party is focussed on various social justice policies, gun control, defunding police etc., but has little interest in the working class. Now, blue collar voters are increasingly turning their back on the Democratic party. Many of them voted for Obama twice and then voted for Trump in 2016. As it looks right now, even more of them might vote for a second Trump-term, which would actually be in their self-interest, given that Trump brought back hundreds of thousands of jobs, which were outsourced to China and other countries under Obama and Biden.

This is encouraging as it shows that many working class Americans, regardless of skin color, are seeing through the distraction game of identity politics.

If it is apparently safe for thousands to celebrate without restrictions in China, in the very city from where the Wuhan-virus (later also called Sars-Cov2, Covid-19, or novel Coronavirus) originated, the question becomes compelling: why shouldn’t the rest of the world follow suit?

Mass protests and “peaceful riots” with sometimes thousands of people have been taking place in the United States for a couple of months now and the millions of American Coronavirus-deaths, which were prophecied in March, and used as a justification for unprecedented restrictions, have never materialized. Maybe it is time to acknowledge that this virus is not that deadly after all.

Harvard Medical professor Martin Kulldorff explains in this Article from April why distancing measures are counterproductive and that the only way out of a pandemic is herd-immunity, which can quickest and most reliable be accomplished by exposure to the virus.

While anti-herders have since taken over the domination of mainstream media, their plea for more restrictions is unscientific.

During the four months since Kulldorff’s article was published, some jurisdictions, such as Sweden and South Dakota have followed the scientific approach and refused to implement any restrictions, lockdowns or mask mandates, while others, such as California, Belgium, Spain and Michigan have imposed draconian measures without regards for basic civil liberties. The data proves Kulldorff right: even the harshest of restrictions have yielded no benefit at all, while the places that chose to embrace natural herd-immunity, like Sweden, are much closer to leaving Covid behind.

After tire maker Goodyear instructed it’s employees in a “diversity-training” that wearing MAGA hats and statements such as “all lives matter” or “blue lives matter” are unacceptable, while BLM apparel is welcome, customers, including tire shops, are responding by abandoning the brand.

In a diversity training, tire maker Goodyear told its employees that they are welcome to wear colthes and items supporting Black Lives Matter (a Marxist organization that advocates the “removal of all depictions of white Jesus” and incites violence across the country), but no Make America Great Again hats nor other items supporting President Trump. Statements calling for unity, such as “all lives matter” or support of police are also prohibited, as a slide from the training shows, which was leaked by an employee.

However, it appears that conservatives have begun to realize the power of voting with their wallet, too. Calls for boycotting Goodyear are increasing and have even earned the President’s support.

Given that people in conservative rural America drive noticably more than liberals in big cities, Goodyear’s woke virtue signaling may end up costing the company dearly as customers switch to other brands.

Instead of drafting a platform to make Americans safer or allow the economy to recover, Democrats have primarily focused on pushing identity politics in recent years. It appears that voters across ethnicities are tired of this attempt to be divided by race for political gain. It almost looks like there might be demand for unity in America…
