3 Victories for Conservatives

The renaming of schools in San Francisco is put on hold (thanks to backclash) ;

The ice rink Donald Trump built in Central Park is open again (thanks to popular demand and protest against mayor DeBlasio’s effort to shut it down);

A treasury department whistleblower speaks up against warrantless use of cellphone data.

There is still hope for America when principled people have the courage to speak up in the face of adversity.

Covid Cases Are Down 77%!

WSJ: We’ll Have Herd Immunity by April

If a medication reduces infections by 77% over six weeks, we’d call it a miracle pill. While media and politicians are still largely ignoring the good news, it is time to be more vocal about it.

Herd immunity will be achieved when enough individuals have become immune to a virus by either: 1. receiving a vaccine, or 2. getting infected and recovering.

As the numbers indicate, the extent to which the second way to get immunity (i.e. naturally via infection and recovery) is occuring, has apparently been underestimated. However, the spike in infections observed in December has apparently accelerated the process of herd immunization.

Latinos Opposed to Biden’s Immigration Policy

A growing number of Latinos in the U.S. is increasingly concerned about the fact that the Biden administration is freely sharing scarce resources, jobs and citizenship with new arrivals. Most American Latinos had to work very hard for these privileges and are now struggling as a result of the shutdowns and Covid-restrictions. Support for Republican policies and candidates is therefore growing among the American Latino population.

Montana Reduces Number of “Gun-Free Zones”

On Thursday, Governor Greg Gianforte (R) signed HB 102 into law.

As the language of the bill explicitly acknowledges in section 3, so-called gun-free zones actually jeopardize people’s safety by increasing their reliance on the state to provide protection which it is not able to provide. Consequently, the bill reduces the number of these dangerous locations in Montana, where people were previously required by law to be helpless.

The bill also permits persons who are eligible to possess a firearm under state or federal to carry a firearm both openly or concealed. Hence, it does away with the permit requirement for most U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Montana law already allowed open carry without a license, but a permit was required for concealing until this bill became law on Thursday.

How to Install Parler App

As the so-called Big Tech companies went on a massive censorship spree, banning almost anything and anyone they politically disagree with, Parler pleasantly stood out as a free-speech alternative.  This put Parler itself into Big Tech’s crosshairs.  The Parler app, which was the No.1 downloaded app on iTunes and Google PlayStore, was taken down by both companies.  Sadly, Apple does not allow users to install any apps that Apple does not approve of.

Thankfully, now that Parler is finally back online, at least Android users can download the Parler app on Parler’s own website.  Here is the link to Parler’s download page with instructions:  https://company.parler.com/android
