Biden: “Let’s go Brandon, I agree.”
On a televised “Santa-tracking” phone call, a caller got Joe Biden to say “Let’s go Brandon, I agree.”
The phrase “Let’s go Brandon!” originates from an interview after a Nascar race, during which fans, as is now common at many events, chanted “F*ck Joe Biden!” and a reporter tried to cover it by claiming that the people were actually shouting “Let’s go Brandon!” although the actual phrase was easy to understand in the background.

Judgment Day: Sweden Vindicated
The fact that Austria has now overtaken Sweden in terms of total covid mortality really means that almost every single government intervention in Austria – and almost everywhere else – has been entirely ineffective from an epidemiological and medical perspective, while having caused almost unprecedented social and economic harm.
In particular, it means that lockdowns, school closures, mask mandates, N95/FFP2 mask mandates, mass PCR testing and “contact tracing”, as well as “vaccine passports”, have been entirely ineffective and unjustified as interventions to “combat the pandemic”.
Of note, this is not just “post-hoc knowledge”: with the exception of school closures (which are effective against influenza), it had long been known that all of these “interventions”, including masks and contact tracing, are ineffective against respiratory virus epidemics. Concerning masks, the question is not if they are effective in theory or in some lab experiment, but if they make any difference in the real world – and the answer is no.
There may be Hope for Australia
Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott strongly encourages leaving Covid restrictions behind and returning to normal. In an interview with Alan Jones, he points out the absurdity of imposing new restrictions based on omicron, the new variant which is so mild that it causes hardly any hospitalizations, let alone deaths and thus stays behind the threat that regular colds pose every year.
He warns that governments have gotten used to the unchecked power they have been able to seize due to people’s fear, but that this must end sooner rather than later. As Abbott points out: “We always got to be careful about becoming addicted to a crisis. […] We have to put it behind us and get on with life. […] In a democracy like ours, we want stronger citizens, not just bigger government.”
Abbott and Jones both praise the new Prime Misister of New South Wales, Dominic Perrottet, who has been a staunch critic of unnecessary lockdowns and who refused to issue new restrictions, despite his health minister’s push to use omicron as a justification to lock down again. Perrotet took office on October 5th this year after his predecessor resigned. While some other Australian states, most notably Victoria and the Northern Territory, seem to outcompete each other with ever stricter rules (the Northern Territory gained worldwide attention with its Covid-camps where people are being involuntarily isolated), the inauguration of Perrotet marks a refreshing deviation from this trend.
(Interview with Tony Abbott starts at minute 39).

“This Is A No”: Manchin Announces He Won’t Vote For “Build Back Better”
Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) just announced his intent to vote against Biden’s controversial 2 Trillion Dollar spending bill which includes a lot of unpopular changes to the Unites States Code. Without Manchin’s vote, the bill is unlikely to pass, unless a Republican senator were to cross party lines and vote with Democrats in favor of the controversial legislation.
