Unlike some of his colleagues who are more worried what the Chinese government thinks of them, Swiss born and Turkey raised basketball pro Enes Kanter Freedom publicly expressed his gratitute for the freedoms we enjoy in the U.S. and points out that in countries like Turkey or China, people don’t have these liberties, such as freedom of speech, press or religion.
He urged Americans to stop talking poorly about their own country and pointed out that Freedom is one of the most important things we have. To emphasize this point, he even added the word Freedom to his name.
