While corporations proudly and publicly donated to social justice causes like Black Lives Matter this summer in an attempt to appease the Marxist group think, Portnoy sympathized with a vastly more marginalized group: the small businesses that created the majority of American jobs and which have been targeted and ruined by politicians obsessed with shutdowns. Since these very same politicians are unwilling to pass any relief for these entrepreneurs and family shops, Portnoy decided to take matters into his own hands.
