Did Xi’s Zero-Covid Policy Push The Chinese People Too Far?

While WEF chair Klaus Schwab openly praises the Chinese system of total surveillance and authoritarianism as a role model for the world, the Chinese people seem very unhappy with it.

The fact that massive protests are erupting across the country is remarkable, given the Chinese level of control. A Chinese person doing anything the government disapproves of, can lose access to basic necessities of daily life, due to the social credit score system. For anyone in China to be willing to publicly protest, that person must feel like he or she has nothing left to lose or to live for. The fact that countless people in China are nevertheless bringing up that courage against the most autocratic ruler since Mao, might allow for some hope for freedom and encourage others to stand up to tyranny as well.
